I am currently partnered with a Federal Government Agency who is seeking a EL1 Assistant Director Independent Advisory Council to join their team on a 12-month temporary assignment with potential to extend.
**Your new role**
- ASAP Start.
- Full time hours | Monday to Friday - NO OVERTIME, NO WEEKENDS
- $602.55/daily + super.
The EL1 Assistant Director Independent Advisory Council is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across functions of the client's organisation.
The EL1 Assistant Director Independent Advisory Council you will be primarily responsible for the facilitation of the Agency's corporate governance processes through the provision of secretariat support to the Council and ensure that the Council fulfils its statutory obligations.
The EL1 Assistant Director Independent Advisory Council will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the client's organisational objectives.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Coordination, preparation, and distribution of meeting papers consistent with the charter / terms of reference requirements, including ensuring that all papers are accessible to people with a disability.
- Managing meeting logistics, including attendance and travel and ensuring that the needs of persons with disability are met.
- Ensuring that a complete and final set of meeting papers are maintained.
- Attending meetings to ensure the meeting runs smoothly.
- Taking of minutes.
- Maintaining the Register of Material Interests.
- Assisting with the induction and onboarding of new meeting attendees.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of governance policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
- Assisting with the management of the governance team expenses.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed as the EL1 Assistant Director Independent Advisory Council, you will need:
- High level writing skills.
- Previous secretariat experience.
- Demonstrated complex stakeholder management.
- Experience in interpretation and development of governance policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Demonstrated understanding of accessible communication.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Time management.
- Australian Citizenship.
Desirable skills for an EL1 Assistant Director Independent Advisory Council to succeed are:
- Qualification in disability, health, social insurance, or accessible communications.
- Experience in financial management
- Experience with document management.
