Job Title:

Therapy and Leisure Partner



About the Role:

* This is a casual position available for flexible hours to suit your lifestyle. It is located in Midland with easy access to public transportation.
* As a Therapy and Leisure Partner, you will promote the physical and emotional well-being of residents by engaging them in meaningful daily activities.
* You will work closely with the allied health team to support residents in maintaining their functional abilities and encouraging them to use and develop skills in ways that are personally meaningful.
* The role involves following care plans and providing person-centred support during therapeutic activities.
* Additionally, you'll ensure all practices comply with Work Health and Safety policies and encourage family involvement in daily life.



Typical Shift Schedule:

Weekdays: 10am to 5pm; Weekends: 1pm to 5pm

About You:

* Commitment to providing a customer-centric approach
* Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent accredited training, or progression towards completion
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Strong understanding of person-centred principles
* Ability to engage people in meaningful activity
* Understanding of the needs of people with dementia
* Ability to manage a busy workload and respond to changing priorities
* Collaborative and flexible team player
* Commitment to ongoing development of relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities
* Previous experience working with people with dementia
* Valid driver's licence (car)
* Working knowledge of Work Health Safety legislation and practices
