Location: Hawkesbury Region, Sydney NSW
Job Type: Full-time and Contract Work Available
About UsWe're a small, family-run organic farm on the beautiful Hawkesbury-Nepean River. We grow vegetables using no-till, regenerative practices, and keep chickens and cows as supporting enterprises. Our mission is to farm, trade, and eat responsibly and ethically — and to create something truly beautiful and meaningful in the process. We're still very much a work in progress, so we're looking for someone who's keen to grow with us.
About the RoleThis role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in sustainability. Prior farm experience is great, but not essential — the right attitude matters most. This Farm Hand role will require lots of landscape management including a fair amount of removing undesired invasive plants on difficult terrain using a variety of hand tools. The right person for this role will know how to use landscaping power tools (whippersnipper, hedge trimmer, etc.) and hand tools (pruners, shovels, etc.). They will also be a hard worker willing to work alone and with others. Someone who just wants to show up and get to work and complete their tasks competently and efficiently will fit well. Someone who will do all of that and is also keen to be a part of a developing farm team who are creating something special will fit perfectly well.
Key Tasks You Will Help With
* Landscaping tasks (pruning and planting decorative and functional ornamentals/native plants, managing invasive species through removal by hand, spreading compost/mulch, etc.)
* Daily care of livestock (cows and chickens currently, other animals in future likely)

What We're Looking For
* Positive attitude is a must
* Reliable, self-motivated, and proactive
* Can work independently and in a team
* Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items (e.g., hay bales)
* Comfortable working outdoors in all (reasonable) weather conditions
* Good communicator with attention to detail
* Interest in regenerative farming practices and sustainable living
* Able to drive manual is a plus
* Lives locally or willing to relocate
What We Offer
* On-the-job training provided
* Opportunity to learn and grow alongside a farm in its exciting development phase
* Work in a stunning riverside setting as part of a values-driven team
