Our client Xelleron Pty Ltd specializes in custom enterprise software development for businesses across all industries, including construction, finance, not-for-profit, and government sectors. They are a pre-qualified ICT supplier under the Queensland Government's ICTSS.2403 SOA for ICT Professional Services and are experiencing rapid growth with expanding private sector clientele.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with specialized expertise in the Xelleron Framework to join their growing team in Brisbane. This is a critical role that will help drive their competitive advantage through our proprietary development framework while mentoring local staff in its advanced implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and enhance the Xelleron Framework using AI development methodologies
2. Design, develop and architect web applications on the Xelleron Framework using C# .Net, React and PostgreSQL
3. Build and maintain REST APis and integrations with third-party platforms (e.g., accounting/ERP systems and internal services)
4. Uphold security, code quality, and reliability through code reviews, automated tests, and Cl/CD
5. Translate business requirements into technical designs and provide estimates and delivery plans
6. Mentor junior engineers, set coding standards and best practices, and contribute to architectural decisions
7. Collaborate with product, UX, and client stakeholders while providing technical support for production systems.
Primary Duties:
1. Build Enterprise Grade Web applications using the Xelleron Framework
2. Create detailed technical documentation about the Xelleron Framework
3. Conduct peer reviews and contribute to Cl/CD pipelines
4. Convert user stories into technical tasks
5. Implement backend services in C#/.NET using Entity Framework and LINQ
6. Develop responsive front-end features in React/JavaScript with HTML5/CSS
7. Create and optimize SQL objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures) and data migration scripts
8. Implement unit/integration tests
9. Build secure authentication/authorization, input validation, and audit trails
10. Provide Tier-3 support for incidents, perform root-cause analysis and post-release hardening.
Essential Requirements:
Education
1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field or at least five (5) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification
Experience
1. Minimum five (5) years of commercial software development experience
2. Minimum two (2) years of experience developing applications using the Xelleron Framework (mandatory)
3. At least two (2) years of experience in C# .Net and PostgreSQL
4. Proven development experience in React/JavaScript with HTML5/CSS
5. Familiarity with API integration in the Finance Sector ( e.g., Class or Xero API OAuth2 integration)
Skills
1. Expert-level proficiency with the Xelleron Framework
2. Detailed familiarity with Class and Xero OAuth2 API development
3. Strong development skills in .Net with expertise in database schema design
4. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
5. Ability to decompose complex requirements
6. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills
7. Team leadership/mentoring capability and willingness to coach junior engineers
Desirable
1. A proven track record of technical leadership
2. Experience with government and enterprise-level projects
3. Knowledge of security best practices for web applications
4. Experience with Queensland Government ICT requirements
