Customer Service Representative
Permanent Full-Time | Commencing Feb / March 2026
PERSOLKELLY is partnering with a leading organisation in the genomics and animal science sector to recruit a Customer Service Representative for a permanent, full-time opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail‐driven customer service professional who enjoys working across complex systems and supporting customers within the agricultural industry.
Working in a collaborative team environment, you will play a key role in delivering accurate genomic data services while providing a consistently high level of customer support.
The role
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will support end‐to‐end customer service operations across the Genomics division. This includes processing customer orders, coordinating sample submissions, generating and distributing genomic data reports, and responding to customer enquiries throughout the testing lifecycle. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring professional communication, accurate data management, and timely resolution of queries.
Key responsibilities
* Manage inbound calls and email enquiries, process customer orders and sample submission documentation, and proactively contact customers to facilitate sample submissions.
* Coordinate the fulfilment of sample kits and collection devices, maintain inventory levels, and provide sales and administrative support to sales and marketing teams.
* Respond to queries regarding turnaround times, testing and results, confirm and track orders via email, and manage complaints and credits through Salesforce.
* Assist with customer set‐up in SAP, update training documentation as processes evolve, and work closely with internal stakeholders to refine systems and identify efficiencies.
* Gain exposure across multiple business divisions including Genomics (sheep, cattle, companion animals and other species), Animal Safety, and Food Safety, and provide support to the broader customer service team as required.
About you
You are highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple systems. You bring strong attention to detail, a customer‐focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
You communicate clearly and professionally, enjoy working collaboratively, and are confident engaging with a diverse customer base, including agricultural producers and industry stakeholders.
Skills and experience
* Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role with strong data entry accuracy.
* Intermediate Excel skills are essential, including formulas, filters, and data validation (e.g., VLOOKUPs and duplication checks).
* Experience with SAP and Salesforce is highly regarded.
* Background knowledge of the cattle and/or sheep industry is advantageous but not essential.
* Reliability, consistency, and a strong work ethic are critical, along with the ability to build rapport with farmers and agricultural organisations.
What's on offer
This is a permanent, full‐time role with a planned commencement in February or March 2026. You will join a specialised and growing sector, receive comprehensive training, and have the opportunity to build long‐term career stability within a supportive team environment.
