Your new role
* Oversee dam operation, maintenance and surveillance activities
* Lead emergency preparedness and response planning for dam-related risks
* Manage dam instrumentation, monitoring programs and data interpretation
* Own and verify critical controls associated with dam failure prevention
* Provide governance for remedial design and construction projects
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including technical and project teams
* Conduct risk assessments, compliance checks and governance activities
* Ensure adherence to standards, systems and regulatory requirements
* Apply state, national, and global guidelines for tailings management
* Integrate GISTM requirements into site operations
* Support internal and external audits and technical reviews
* Collaborate with RDEs across other sites within the Bowen Basin
What you'll need to succeed
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering (civil, water, geotechnical or related discipline)
* Experience in tailings and water storage facilities across design, construction, operation and maintenance
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards and governance processes
* Demonstrated ability to define project scope and work across multidisciplinary teams
* High level of organisation with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical information for operational teams
