TAFE Queensland's South West Region plays a vital role in the economy and communities of over one-third of regional Queensland, with locations in Bundamba, Inala and Springfield in the east, Toowoomba and other key Darling Downs centres, Stanthorpe, Kingaroy and Cherbourg, to Roma in the west. South West Region offers an exciting range of study options aimed at preparing graduates for employment in the resources, agricultural and construction industries, through to health and aged care, community services, creative, hospitality, education and business. Casual Teacher

$111.42 gross per hour (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)

Teacher (full-time equivalent)

$89,799 - $118,528 gross per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements

Teacher - Construction

Applicants must possess CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent, and the following:

* Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
* Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided.
* Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
* Current Queensland Driver's licence.

Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:

* TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
* TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
* TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
* TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, or its successor;
* TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
* TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
* Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland);

Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.

Highly Desirable

Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:

* CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction
* High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).
