Description The opportunity: An opportunity is available for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Children, Youth and Family Team on a part‑time basis (0.6 FTE). This role will work with individual clients and families, provide support in group and education settings, and collaborate with agencies such as Child Protection, community organisations, and health services to deliver holistic support for children, young people, and their families, while building capacity in the people around them. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; Provide quality direct primary care Occupational Therapy services to children with a range of presenting needs, in a family-centred, interdisciplinary framework, including assessment, individual and group programs, education, and support to parents Deliver School Readiness-Funded coaching sessions in early learning settings Collaborate with parents/carers in the assessment, planning and review of clients’ goals and progress Communicate appropriately and effectively with children, their families and carers, staff and external providers Conduct initial assessments, including a thorough medical and social history, determine appropriate care pathways and make appropriate internal and external referrals Supervise the clinical education of Occupational Therapy students on placement at the Service as appropriate Skills And Experiences Skills & Experience A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) Registration with Australian Health Practitioners’ Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
