Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our team as an APS5 Procurement and Contracts Officer. This 12-month assignment involves supporting the procurement team in Geelong, procuring goods and services for a Federal Government Agency.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support, procurement advice, and preparing reports against key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities
1. Providing admin support to the procurement team by managing procurement documentation, tracking value for money outcomes and preparing reports.
2. Providing procurement advice and support to the broader Agency by engaging with stakeholders, negotiating contracts and preparing procurement documentation.
3. Assisting with tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports on procurement activities.
4. Preparing procurement documentation, entering data for reporting and coordinating procurement activities.

Requirements
1. Previous procurement experience in a Government Agency or Department.
2. Experience delivering support and advice complying with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
3. SAP experience advantageous.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
