Jacobs Energy and Power business is at the forefront of the global energy transition, embracing unprecedented opportunities to drive sustainable change. We're seeking a talented Lead Electrical Secondary Engineer to join our Energy & Power team in Adelaide.
In this pivotal role, you'll work on cutting edge Transmission and Distribution projects locally while supporting initiatives throughout Australia. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of power generation and distribution, leveraging our comprehensive approach to address the complex challenges of the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver advanced Substation Secondary systems for distribution and transmission networks (22kV to 500kV).Ensure strict adherence to Jacobs' quality assurance procedures and technical standardsLead and manage engineering projects within defined scopes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.Foster effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, primary electrical).Contribute to proposal development, including scope definition and cost with regional clients, providing expert technical advice and supporting business growth.Mentor and develop junior engineers, enhancing our team's capabilities.
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).Extensive hands-on experience in High Voltage Secondary Substation design and project delivery.Proven ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients.Demonstrated capability in managing and providing technical leadership to design teams, including Global Delivery Centres.Strong track record in managing design projects in compliance with quality management systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
