Our Corporate Services Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director, Strategic Communications, to lead the development and delivery of strategic communications, community engagement, and campaign initiatives ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

In this role you will manage projects end-to-end, conduct research and analysis to inform decisions, and create content that aligns with best practice and ACT Government guidelines. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide guidance to business areas, foster collaboration across the directorate, and build strong stakeholder relationships. You will supervise and empower team members, champion innovative engagement solutions, and evaluate outcomes to demonstrate impact and continuous improvement.

To thrive in the role, you will bring proven leadership and team management experience, coupled with a passion for delivering meaningful engagement outcomes. You'll demonstrate exceptional communication skills, the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and a track record of successfully managing complex projects from conception to completion.

Eligibility/Other requirements

* A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, marketing, media or a related discipline is highly desirable.
* An IAP2 Certificate of Engagement, or a willingness to obtain, is preferred.
