Instrumental and Classroom Music Teacher
Yarranlea Primary School is seeking applications for the position of Instrumental and Classroom Music Teacher for Term 4 2025. Our small multi-age school in Toohey Forest is looking for an instrumental and classroom music teacher two days a week (negotiable). The school instrumental program currently includes strings, violin and band (drums, guitar and piano) from Year 2-6 with classroom music once a week for our Prep to Year 1, Year 2, 3 and Year 4-5-6 classes.

Yarranlea Primary School invites applications for the position of Instrumental and Classroom Teacher to join its collaborative and supportive team for Term 4, 2025. The teacher will report directly to the Principal.
Responsibilities
* Prepare lessons and unit plans of work in accordance with syllabus requirements
* Run small group strings, violins, vocal and band sessions (negotiable based on expertise)
* Lead before-school Excellence Strings rehearsals from 8:00–8:30am twice a week
* Provide challenging, student-centred approaches to learning
* Communicate effectively to promote a spirit of unity among staff
* Foster positive relationships between parents, the community and the School
* Evaluate and report on student progress
* Discuss individual performance with students and their parents
* Able to move between electronic platforms and embed technology into pedagogy
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have relevant teaching experience as an Instrumental and Classroom teacher, preferably in a multi-age setting, and hold a current teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. You will need to be comfortable stepping away from traditional classroom practices and embrace modern teaching methods and technologies, including online resources.
