Job Title: Geospatial Analyst
">Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geospatial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geographical Information Systems, Cartography, Surveying or Information Technology, with a minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience and experience in a similar position.
Key responsibilities include providing high-quality spatial analysis, advice, products and services to Council and the community, as well as identifying, analyzing, and solving model problems and thinking creatively about data models.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all spatial analysis is accurate and up-to-date, and will work closely with stakeholders to provide services and achieve quality customer outcomes.
">Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
* Tertiary qualification in Geographical Information Systems, Cartography, Surveying or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience and experience in a similar position.
* Sound knowledge of spatial, analytical, modelling and visualisation skills, including 3D Modelling and Networks.
* Sound knowledge of Geographic Information Systems, applications (ESRI suite of products), Business Information Management Systems; for example, in Enterprise Asset Management and Property and Rating, GIS programming logic, and spatial technologies and peripherals such as AutoCAD.
* Understanding of cartographic best practices for map creation and visualisation.
* Experience identifying, analysing, and solving model problems and thinking creatively about data models.
* Sound communication skills with demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement to provide services and achieve quality customer outcomes.
