Alpine Communications is a leading provider of end-to-end civil and construction services for the Telecommunications and Rail sectors across Queensland. With a reputation built on reliability, quality workmanship, and a commitment to excellence, we are expanding our team and seeking a motivated Full-Time Telecommunication Rigger to join us.
About the Role
You will work as part of an experienced construction crew across various rail and telecommunications sites throughout Southeast Queensland. As an experienced Telecommunications Rigger you will be able to install and upgrade externally mounted telecommunications equipment in accordance with our client specifications, standards and HSE guidelines.
KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Certified Rigger (basic, intermediate, or advanced) with all required OH&S certifications
2 or more years telecommunications rigging experience in a network rollout discipline
A minimum of 2 years within a Telco rigging team building new sites and upgrades
Experience in Monopole, Tower and Mast builds and strengthening, Antenna system Installation and hardware installation - RRUs, TMAs, Combiners, etc
Must be able to perform structural upgrades to telco infrastructure - steelwork, trays, etc
Familiarity with Optus, NBN, Telstra installation standards
Solid understanding and experience doing RF plumbing
QUALIFICATIONS
EWP ticket
Certified Rigger (basic, intermediate, or advanced) HRWL
Construction industry white card
RF Hazard Awareness Training
Ability to read and interpret technical construction drawings
Ability to prepare acceptance documentation
Experience in working for major network carriers (Optus, TPG, Telstra, NBN Wireless, etc) coupled with a strong knowledge of network carriers' processes and standards.
Working at heights in the installation and removal of MW dishes, antennas & feeder cables, and other hardware on various structures (monopoles, rooftops, towers, etc.)
Experience in installing, commissioning, and integrating of telecommunications equipment, including feeder and hybrid cables
Decision making and problem-solving skills
Flexibility in working hours and able to work away if required
