**The Role**
As part of the QLD technical team, the role is to assist with the design, delivery and support of Radio and Data Communications Systems for our local and remote client base.
As this is a customer-facing role, the successful applicant must ensure that our standards of efficiency, safety and quality are maintained.
The role is Queensland based but remote work will be required for various projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Installation & fault finding of Voice & Data Radio systems including Motorola & Tait.
- Installation and fault finding on microwave equipment and various IP equipment.
- Installation of communications equipment on vehicles and customer premises.
- Liaise with Senior Technician to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Liaise with planning group to ensure the planned maintenance schedule is implemented.
- Ensure all activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company safety policy and procedures.
**About You**
- Previous or related experience working with radio communications and IP based equipment - Essential
- Intimate knowledge of VHF and UHF radio systems in multiple technologies such as DMR, P25, and TETRA. - Essential
- Previous experience with Fleet Management Systems - Desirable
- Previous experience working in the mining environment / industries. - Desirable
- Experience with Motorola & Tait radio systems. - Desirable
- Demonstrated experience operating in JHA / Permit based work environments.
- Microwave experience favourable. - Desirable
- Experienced working at heights. - Desirable
- Rigging/Tower Rescue highly - Desirable.
- Very self-motivated with the ability to work within a team or alone.
- Able to provide documentation / certificates indicating previous radio communications training.
- Willingness to learn and eagerness to upskill
**Skills and Experience**
- Cert IV Diploma of Radio Communications or equivalent trade certificate. - Essential
- Australian (C Class) drivers' licence for a manual vehicle. - Essential
- White Construction Card. - Desirable
- 'Provide First Aid' Certificate. - Desirable
- High Risk Workers Licence - Work Platform - Desirable
- Tower Rescue - Desirable.
- Work Safely at Heights. - Desirable
