Job Overview
As a senior financial risk manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic improvements in market and liquidity risk processes. This role requires collaboration with various teams, including investment, credit risk, and actuarial teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize financial losses.
* Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to assess investment and risk strategies aligned with company objectives.
* Manage and refine risk processes, contributing to strategic projects across the organization.
* Prepare risk committee papers and policies, providing valuable insights into financial risk.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Strong experience in banking or asset management, with a focus on market and liquidity risk.
* Deep understanding of financial instruments, valuation, hedging strategies, and risk modeling.
* Proficiency in portfolio risk modeling and analytics: VaR, Expected Shortfall, stress testing, liquidity ratios.
* High-level user of Excel and other MS Office applications; intermediate SQL; Bloomberg; risk management software.
* Relevant academic qualifications in a quantitative or financial discipline; post-graduate qualifications or certifications like GARP, PRM highly desirable.
