Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Senior Policy Officer (APS 6) to join our client's team this role can be based in either Canberra or Melbourne. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-profile environment, driving enterprise policy, capability planning, and governance to support strategic outcomes.
Location: Canberra or Melbourne
Clearance: Baseline (mandatory)
Eligibility: S26 transfer
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and embed enterprise capability policies and processes.
* Provide evidence-based policy advice and support capability planning across the organisation.
* Deliver secretariat support to senior governance committees and forums.
* Build and maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships across internal and external partners.
* Share knowledge to uplift organisational capability planning practices.
* Provide guidance to junior staff and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in policy development and project delivery.
* Strong research, analysis, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration capabilities.
* Understanding of, or ability to quickly acquire, the organisation's strategic context.
