About This Role
We are partnering with a tier one mining business to appoint an experienced Senior Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner on a 6-month contract based in Perth.
This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in an operational environment and can combine strong month-end delivery with genuine business partnering
Working closely with senior leaders and operational stakeholders, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, insightful analysis, and forward-looking support to multiple business units. The role offers exposure to complex operations, fast-paced decision-making, and the opportunity to drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end close
Delivery of monthly performance reporting, variance analysis, and insightful commentary
Financial reporting and analysis supporting multiple operational business units
Business partnering with operational leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Providing financial insight and commercial advice to senior leaders to support decision-making
Driving continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, reporting, and systems
Requirements
CA or CPA qualified, or currently completing qualification
Strong experience in management accounting or finance business partnering roles
Strong understanding of operational cost drivers and production-based environments
Proven experience working with SAP and advanced MS Excel
Exposure to Anaplan for budgeting and forecasting
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, operationally focused organisation
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Highly analytical, commercially astute, and delivery focused
You must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role - sponsorship is not available
