Hays is currently partnered with a Federal Government organisation to recruit an APS6 Procurement Officer in a temporary capacity.
**Your new role**
Responsibilities will include:
- Working collaboratively with business areas as a procurement business partner to establish appropriate procurement methodologies, preparing a range of procurement documentation, evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts.
- Managing and undertaking procurement reporting and verification activities, and processing procurements through the financial management system.
- Maintaining and implementing procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Contributing to procurement planning activities within the wider Procurement Team and across the Agency.
- Providing specialist procurement advice and ensuring procurement activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the company Procurement Policy to deliver value for money outcomes that contribute to better social and economic outcomes for people with disability.
- Providing quality and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders, including guidance and reporting to the Branch Leadership, and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Monitoring and progressing work area activities to achieve work area objectives, ensuring consistent and high-quality outputs and maintaining team cohesion.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Qualifications in a relevant field of study
- Extensive administrative capabilities
- Widespread reporting skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
