Overview
Specialist Medical Practitioner - Alcohol and Drug Service North (Launceston)
Permanent Full‐time day worker, up to 76 hours per fortnight.
Based in Launceston, Tasmania.
Role
Operates within a supportive and well‐structured framework. Broad operational direction is provided by the Area Manager, ADS North, with clinical governance led by the Statewide Specialty Director, ADS.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage with key stakeholders to support the effectiveness and quality of the public and private sector Pharmacotherapy Program.
- Exercise a high degree of independent clinical judgement in the delivery of care and completion of core responsibilities.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to ethical practice in all aspects of your work.

Details of appointment
- Permanent full‐time day worker, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
What's on Offer
Salary: $222,789 – $319,701 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
Benefits and allowances:
- Fully maintained vehicle or motor vehicle allowance ($28,786 per annum).
- Travel and relocation assistance up to $15,000 for overseas; up to $10,000 for interstate.
- CPD allowance ($17,483 per annum).

Eligibility
- Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.
