What You’ll Be DoingLead or contribute to field surveys, ecological assessments (e.g. BDARs), monitoring programs, and strategic adviceCoordinating end-to-end project delivery, including planning, timelines, budgets, and reportingMentoring and supporting junior team members, particularly in the field and during reporting phasesLiaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality workPrepare technical reports, tenders, and management plansContribute to business development and help shape future project directions
What We’re Looking ForSenior Ecologist5+ years consulting experience in NSW or equivalentStrong analytical thinker with a sharp eye for detail and a practical approach to problem-solvingSpecialist in ecological assessment and management, with sound understanding of environmental policy across multiple jurisdictionsBAM accreditationStrong reporting and client liaison skillsStrong project management skills, with a focus on quality and deliveryPassion for mentoring and team leadershipEcologist2–4 years’ experience in ecological consultingFamiliarity with State and Commonwealth environmental legislation and policyStrong field skills (flora and/or fauna)Excellent written communication and desire to growTeam player, curious and adaptable
Desirable Skills & ExperienceFlora, fauna, or GIS specialisationStewardship, offsetting or restoration experienceBAM accreditation (or pathway toward it)PhD or Honours in a relevant discipline (not essential)
