Bundaberg, Queensland – Permanent Part‐time opportunity.
About The Role
An experienced cook will create high‐quality, nutritious meals for residents with special dietary needs in a caring team environment.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, creativity, and attention to dietary requirements.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with cleaning and infection‐control standards.
* Keep accurate records of key kitchen and stock data.
* Liaise with supervisors and suppliers regarding stock control and ordering.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Contribute ideas for menu development and special events.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes, and a strong knowledge of food hygiene.
* At least one year's experience as a commercial cook.
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or other relevant trade qualification (Essential).
* Current Police Check or willing to apply.
* Hold valid Australian Work Rights (No sponsorship offered).
* Strong understanding of food safety legislation, texture‐modified diets, and special dietary needs.
* Experience in the aged care sector (Essential).
