About the role
The Customer Service Officer assists with the provision of general information on apprenticeships, traineeships and vocational education and training programs and services, to customers and members of the public and provides clerical and administrative support to the Regional Centre
Key accountabilities
4. Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Regional Centre, including email services and office coordination
5. Manage efiling, storage and archiving of records in line with departmental requirements
6. Liaise with staff to support customer enquiries and assist with issue resolution
7. Deliver accurate word processing, data entry and spreadsheet support
8. Process invoices, claims and assist with reports in line with financial and operational requirements

About you
9. Works confidently in a structured environment, applying policies, procedures and guidelines with sound judgement
10. Escalates complex or sensitive matters to a supervisor to support appropriate decision-making
11. Brings a VET background or strong interest in Vocational Education and Training, with solid IT skills
12. Demonstrates a strong customer service ethic and a collaborative approach
13. Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
14. Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
15. Previous experience in an office or administrative environment (desirable)
16. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
17. Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
18. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
