Market Analyst
This role involves driving strategic analysis of macroeconomic, commodity, and product information to support business objectives. You will collect and present data at a global, regional, and country level.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collect, manage, and present macroeconomic, commodity, and product information.
* Undertake market research and SWOT analysis for senior leaders.
* Assimilate statistics from diverse sources on customers, competitors, and markets.
* Provide accurate analysis for internal use by departments within the company.
* Develop and maintain global market share statistics for core products.
* Regularly update competitor analysis in conjunction with business sales managers.
* Analyse order intake and sales/margin data, undertaking exception reporting.
* Develop PowerBI dashboards to share information and insights globally across products.
* Identify and recommend future market opportunities for current and future product ranges.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in Commerce, Economics, or similar required.
* Post-graduate degree desirable.
* Market analysis experience in the resources/commodity industry.
* Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
* Familiarity with search engines, business research tools, web analytics, and CRM programs.
* Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling, and mining.
