At Karmo, we're looking for an experienced Fleet Asset Manager to play a key role in how our national fleet operates. You'll lead and support fleet operations across Australia, focusing on efficiency, cost control, compliance, and vehicle performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with diverse stakeholders, and driving operational improvements in a dynamic, growing organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and support a national fleet operations team, providing guidance and oversight across each state
Manage fleet costs and budgets, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce spend
Track key fleet performance metrics and provide insights to help optimise operations
Oversee vehicle deliveries, returns, and condition management in line with buy-back and operating lease requirements
Review and manage fleet breach claims, ensuring timely resolution and minimising damage and costs
Partner with internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth, compliant fleet operations
Work closely with state teams to manage off-road vehicles, volumes, and associated costs
Prepare and deliver regular fleet reporting, including monthly cost and budget updates to senior leadership
Experience & Qualifications
Experience managing vehicle condition and utilisation to keep fleets running efficiently
A solid understanding of vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, and repair coordination
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and data
A proactive problem-solver who can identify issues and implement practical solutions
Good knowledge of fleet operations, asset management, and performance metrics
Confidence working with budgets, costs, KPIs, and reporting tools
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work well with internal teams and external partners
