OverviewAs a Software Engineer in the Energy and Resources Program, you will play a critical role in maintaining and evolving the Bureau's weather forecasting systems that produce and deliver forecasts for Energy and Resources customers.
You will contribute to the development of customer-facing products, including interactive visualisations and robust APIs, to ensure weather insights are accessible and actionable for a diverse range of users.
Your work will directly support forecasters and customers by enhancing the reliability, usability, and performance of forecasting tools and services.ResponsibilitiesThe role involves developing and evolving weather forecasting platforms and customer-facing products, including interactive visualisations and robust APIs.
You will design and build scalable, full-stack solutions, integrating meteorologist-driven forecasts and automated services powered by machine learning.
You will apply DevSecOps principles to ensure secure, reliable, and maintainable systems, contributing to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
