The Opportunity
This exciting role will provide hands on support and business partnering across an evolving HR function to the Australian and New Zealand business including retail, warehouse and office employees. Working collaboratively with the HR team, you will support HR activities and initiatives throughout the employee life cycle as well as delivering HR strategy and projects, all while building and maintaining strong relationships across all functions by providing HR direction and advice.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the HR Director in maintaining and enhancing the organisation's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
* Provide high-quality advice and service to management focusing on employee relations, engagement and foundational HR tasks.
* Work closely with the HR Director on employee attraction and retention activities and special projects.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for the organisation's external payroll provider and employees for all payroll related enquiries.
* Deliver regular HR metrics and reporting.
* Manage Workers Compensation, injury and return to work plans.
* Support the Recruitment Consultant with end-to-end recruitment process including HRIS, contract generation and onboarding.
* Promote a strong safety culture within the organisation by ensuring safe work practices and keeping abreast of industry and market trends and best practices and safety regulations.
Skills Required
* 3+ years' experience in a generalist role
* Support function in payroll preparation
* Award interpretation experience preferred
* HRIS experience such as Workday or similar
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Tertiary qualifications in business studies or equivalent
