Childcare Early Childhood Teacher | Bendigo South
Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our Bendigo South team in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs that inspire young minds and contribute to the growth and development of all children within the kindergarten age group.
Centre Overview:
Journey Early Learning Bendigo South is a warm and welcoming 100 place centre. With a long-standing team of inclusive and adventurous educators, Bendigo South has strong ties and connections within the local community. Our environment promotes child-led play and learning in both indoor and outdoor spaces. Our large, centrally located kitchen is the place for celebrations, shared meals and interactions with families and children as they enter and leave the centre. We are proud to be a tight-knit centre, with many families engaging in the frequent social activities we organise to promote connection.
About the role:
This is a full-time opportunity across Monday to Friday. As the Early Childhood Teacher, your primary focus will be to provide a safe and stimulating environment which meets the social, cultural, emotional, educational and physical needs of the children. You will be responsible for the creation and execution of our educational programs that support the overall wellbeing, growth, and education of young children.
Responsibilities
* Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
* Create, develop and implement high quality and engaging educational programs
* Facilitate play-based learning environments that are responsive to children's interests, strengths, and abilities
* Observe and document children's progress and development
* Foster positive relationships with children, families and the community
* Develop and participate in a variety of community projects and initiatives
* Be part of a collaborative teaching and interactive learning environment
About you:
You are an enthusiastic and inspired Early Childhood Teacher with a passion to lead the development of high-quality, age-appropriate programs and engaging daily routines that foster a love of learning in young children. You will play a key role in shaping educational experiences, nurturing strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
Key skills and requirements
* ACECQA Approved Bachelor's/ Master's Degree or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education
* Current Working with Children Check
* Outstanding level of verbal and written communication
* Strong Knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
* Strong computer skills
* Current approved First Aid Certificate
* Current approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
