There are two (2) permanent full-time positions commencing Term 3, 2026

The Role

The Program Coordinator – Student Services will be responsible for students' behaviour, attendance, and social and emotional well‐being. The successful applicant should have demonstrated knowledge of the Positive Behaviour in Schools framework and a growth mind‐set evident in communications with students, parents and staff.

This role requires outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the Student Services team to support the health and well‐being of students. The applicant will need to engage effectively with many stakeholders across the school and wider community, including parents/carers, teachers, other schools, external agencies and community groups.

Understanding of Trauma Informed Practice, the ability to adopt a restorative approach to conflict, and the capacity to manage complex cases are essential. The Program Coordinator will be a member of the senior leadership team, contribute to whole‐school review and planning, and oversee the performance development of non‐teaching staff, using a growth coaching approach to mentor staff on a needs basis.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Newton Moore Senior High School in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro‐rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.

The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
