Project Quality Manager Opportunity
Established multi-state presence, market leading contractor has an extensive project pipeline in Defence Industrial & Commercial sectors. Delivering Defence projects $50m to $100m new build and refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement project-specific Quality Management Plans and systems in line with contractual requirements and ISO 9001.
* Lead the quality team ensuring productivity and alignment with project objectives.
* Manage Document Management Systems to ensure project documentation is controlled and compliant.
* Liaise with HSEQ to ensure robust auditing compliance and corrective actions.
* Ensure project readiness for third-party audits and certifications.
* Review project documentation drawings and technical submissions to ensure quality verification.
* Manage NCRs conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
* Conduct supplier and subcontractor onboarding and quality assessments.
* Promote a strong quality culture through training toolbox talks and stakeholder engagement.
* Participate in design reviews to ensure quality considerations are integrated early.
* Prepare quality performance reports and dashboard updates.
* Support risk management activities and contribute to project review meetings.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering quality management or related construction discipline.
* 7+ years' experience in quality management within large-scale construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
* Experience with supplier quality management welding and materials inspection and construction quality processes.
* Auditor qualifications preferred (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification ideal).
* Proven leadership skills and ability to drive a proactive quality culture.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* High attention to detail strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience managing project documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance.
