Zenviron is seeking a Civil Draftsperson to join the engineering team based in Newcastle. Reporting to the Civil Design Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing quality, safe, and commercially effective engineering drawings for project delivery.
Key responsibilities
Work as part of the engineering delivery team, involved in the development and ongoing refinement of bulk earthworks and related civil engineering drafting for renewable infrastructure projects.
Understand and promote Health & Safety responsibilities and support wellbeing of yourself and others. Under guidance, develop and update access roads, structural, and earthwork drawings using AutoCAD.
Provide support to other members of the Engineering team and project teams.
Prepare drawings and project documentation. Review and compile schedules of quantities.
Assist with quality control, project reporting, and compliance requirements.
Under guidance, prepare conceptual and basic design drawing packages, with documentation, for earthwork, benches, pavements, and drainage systems.
Provide engineering support and technical assistance for project civil works.
Qualifications
Solid understanding of civil/structural engineering principles.
Minimum Diploma level qualification or equivalent in Civil Construction/Civil Engineering.
Strong ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Demonstrates strong initiative and willingness to learn.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Proof of right to work in Australia.
