The OpportunityBoeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking Expressions of Interest for Engineering professionals (across all levels) to join the MQ‑28 Ghost Bat Production Facility currently being built at Wellcamp Toowoomba, QLD.

Roles we're seeking expressions of interest for
Production Engineer
Manufacturing Engineer
Equipment and Tooling Engineer / Automation Engineer
Materials and Process Engineer
Test Engineer
What you'll get to do:
Support transitioning the composites fabrication and aircraft assembly capability from our Melbourne facility to the new Toowoomba Wellcamp facility
Developing the production system design for the composite fabrication and aircraft assembly
Support the evaluation and implementation of complex automated equipment for the production system
Create documentation, training & best practice material for automated systems
Develop manufacturing plans and related work instructions for the aircraft build
Design and coordinate the build of unique tooling, jigs and fixtures for aircraft assembly
Conduct investigations on manufacturing processes to identify root cause of defects, propose and lead corrective action or improvement projects
Provide guidance on the fabrication of composite parts and/or the aircraft build to ensure conformance to engineering requirements
Develop and execute on the qualification of complex equipment and manufacturing processes to Boeing's business-wide standards
Ensure compliance to safety, regulatory and engineering requirements
Mentor and grow a vibrant, high‑performing manufacturing team in a brand‑new facility
Potential 3 to 6 month rotation at Boeing Aerostructures Australia, Port Melbourne
Who we're looking for:
Applicants must hold tertiary qualifications in: Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronic/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering
2+ years' in relevant technical disciplines
Previous experience in production is preferred but not essential
Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices is highly desirable
Effective communication skills with different stakeholders across the business.
Works well with others and encourages team building
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
Security requirement:
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
Approximate start date is late 2026 to Early 2027.
