We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team and contribute to our growing café.
Role Overview
As our Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting smooth daily operations. You will work closely with the team to develop menus and ensure a great dining experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and develop menus to ensure high-quality food and café profitability
* Create daily specials and seasonal menu items
* Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a high standard
* Ensure all food preparation complies with food safety and hygiene standards
* Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
* Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain consistency and quality
* Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Skills & Experience
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Chef (café or casual dining preferred)
* Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
* Passion for food and creativity in menu development
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Salary
$70,000 – $74000per year + Superannuation, depending on experience and skills.

Schedule
* 38 hours per week
