Overview
We're seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented operator to run our print program, VersaCAMM printer and manage substrate preparation and finishing.
The role requires confidently cropping, resizing, and exporting images to the correct physical dimensions, resolution, and file formats for web, ecommerce, social media, and print production. You'll ensure all visual assets are optimised for performance and quality across different channels, maintaining brand consistency while managing colour profiles, file specifications, and image compression to meet the requirements of each output.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain the VersaCAMM large-format printer (print setup, color profiling, material loading, routine maintenance).
* Prepare and apply substrates for signage and apparel printing (vinyl, heat-transfer, adhesive-backed media, banner materials, etc.).
* Produce in-store signage, decals, vehicle graphics, and race jersey logo prints with consistent quality.
* Perform print file checks and preflight artwork (scale, bleed, color modes, resolution).
* Calibrate and adjust color profiles to ensure accurate, repeatable output.
* Weed, cut, laminate, and finish prints; apply transfers to garments as required.
* Troubleshoot print issues (banding, registration, ink flow) and coordinate with vendors/tech support when needed.
* Maintain inventory of media, inks, and consumables; track usage and reorder supplies.
* Keep a clean, organized workspace and follow safety protocols for equipment and materials.
* Work with design and production teams to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
Required Qualifications/Experience
* 1+ years experience with large-format printers.
* Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset.
* Basic understanding of color management, RIP software, and print-prep best practices.
* Experience with heat-transfer processes and substrate application preferred.
* Ability to lift and move materials (up to 25kgs) and stand for extended periods.
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a small team environment.
* Background in graphic design or production (working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PDF/X workflow), entry Excel, Word proficiency and understanding.
Nice-to-Have
* Vinyl cutting and plotter experience.
* Familiarity with laminators and finishing equipment.
* Experience with textile printing for sports apparel and knowledge of performance fabrics.
