Residential Opportunity | Finniss Operation, 88 km south of Darwin near Berry Springs
Core Lithium has now reached Final Investment Decision (FID), marking the official restart of the Finniss Lithium Operation and the next phase of growth for the business.
As operations ramp back up, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and well‐funded Exploration team focused on discovering and defining the next generation of growth opportunities across our large tenure holding at Finniss and in the broader Northern Territory portfolio.
This is a permanent Darwin-based role working Monday to Friday (10 hour days) with campaign‐based field work supporting exploration drilling.
We are seeking applicants who are either already based in Darwin or open to relocating to the Northern Territory. Relocation assistance will be provided for the successful candidate, and an initial (short term) FIFO arrangement can be considered to support relocation transition time if required.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Superintendent Geology and Exploration, the Project Geologist will play a key role in supporting exploration and drilling programs across the Finniss Operation, surrounding tenements, and regional greenfield tenure.
Working closely with the broader exploration and geology team, you will contribute to the planning and execution of drilling campaigns, coordination of contractors and field activities, geological interpretation and the ongoing growth of the Company's mineral resource pipeline.
The position offers exposure across a broad range of exploration activities including drilling supervision, geological mapping, logging, sampling, interpretation, data management and technical reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and oversee drilling campaigns and exploration field programs
* Manage drilling contractors and field crews to ensure safe and efficient operations
* Conduct geological mapping, logging, sampling and interpretation
* Plan and implement geochemical sampling programs
* Capture, validate and manage geological data
* Undertake QAQC reviews and geological analysis
* Compile technical and statutoryreporting
* Supporting safe exploration activities and promote a strong field safety culture
* Contribute to target generation and exploration program development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Geology (Honours or postgraduate qualifications advantageous)
* Previous experience in exploration geology and drill program coordination
* Strong geological mapping, logging and interpretation skills
* Experience managing drilling contractors and field crews
* Exposure to lithium exploration highly regarded
* Working knowledge of GIS platforms and geological databases
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A proactive, hands‐on approach with the ability to work autonomously and within a collaborative team
* Current Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights
