About the role
Join a leader in professional printing technology! We are looking for a dedicated and customer focused Field Service Technician to support, maintain and enhance the performance of our industry‐leading printing systems.
In this dynamic role you will work hands‐on with our customers to ensure their equipment runs at peak performance while promoting best practices, upgrades and Canon solutions. This role covers Queensland in a customer‐facing capacity. You must be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and be comfortable communicating with clients at all levels. Interstate and international travel will be required, including occasional after‐hour work.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform Corrective and Preventative Maintenance on high‐performance Canon production printers.
* Service and upgrade software and firmware, ensuring all machine modifications and procedures are up to date.
* Ensure customer machines are maintained to a high operational standard.
* Deliver outstanding service and build strong, productive relationships with customers.
* Support the Sales Team by identifying and promoting sales opportunities, including consumables and media.
* Collaborate with other technical staff to resolve complex technical issues.
* Assist in continuous improvement of service methods and call procedures—be a role model for service excellence.
* Educate and encourage customers in product recycling and sustainability practices.
* Manage on‐site spare parts inventory and support customer training for Operator Maintenance programs.
* Adhere to all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies to ensure a safe working environment.
* Balance customer needs with Canon's business objectives through effective resource management.
* Contribute to personal and professional development initiatives.
* Carry out additional tasks as requested by Service Management or Technical Support teams.

* Experience in technical service or support roles (ideally within the print or imaging industry).
* Strong problem‐solving skills and technical aptitude.
* Customer‐first mindset with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Familiarity with firmware/software upgrades and mechanical servicing.
* Commitment to safety and sustainability practices.
* Team player with a willingness to share knowledge and support others.
* Current driver's licence is mandatory.
