What You'll Do
* Manage daily bank reconciliations across all operating accounts and entities in Xero, ensuring transactions are accurately coded and allocated to the correct project.
* Own the accounts' payable function, invoice processing, cost coding, payment runs via NAB Connect, and supplier queries
* Manage accounts receivable including issuing invoices, receipting payments, and following up outstanding debtors
* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations across the entity structure as part of the month-end close
* Complete monthly intercompany reconciliations across the group, identifying and resolving mismatches between entity pairs
* Maintain intercompany loan schedules and interest calculations in Xero
* Ensure correct GST treatment across all transactions, including awareness of GST MarginScheme requirements
* Support BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement across 20+ entities
* Support fortnightly payroll processing including allowances, deductions, PAYG withholding,and superannuation
* Assist with the preparation of lender drawdown claims and construction progress paymentdocumentation
* Maintain and update commission workpapers and sales tracking schedules using data fromSalesforce
* Use AI tools (including Claude and integrated automations) to streamline transaction coding, reconciliation workflows, reporting, and other routine finance tasks and actively identify new opportunities for automation
What we're looking for
* Studying towards or recently completed CA/CPA qualification (or relevant accounting degree with intent to pursue CA/CPA)
* 1–3 years' experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, property, construction, or multi-entity experience is a bonus but not essential
* Solid working knowledge of Xero is essential you should be comfortable managing reconciliations, coding transactions, and running reports across multiple entities
* Comfortable in Excel confident with formulas, pivot tables, and basic data manipulation
* Genuine interest in using AI and technology to improve how finance work gets done you don't need to be an expert, but you should be curious and willing to experiment
* Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing deadlines across multiple entities
* A team player who takes ownership, asks questions when something doesn't add up, and wants to build a career in property finance
