Role Overview:
Working closely with the SLT and the broader business, you will be the focal point for commercial management, including the development of business cases to assess initiatives and provision of insight to make great decisions.
About the Role:
As the Commercial Analyst, you’ll lead the development and ongoing enhancement of financial models to support investment decisions and capital allocation. Your work will include scenario planning, business case development, market research, and strategic insight generation. You will act as a critical liaison between multiple internal and external stakeholders, supporting commercial project execution from ideation through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex financial models to support investment, M&A;, and strategic projects
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate commercial risks and opportunities
- Develop and present investment cases with clear articulation of assumptions, risks, and return metrics
- Analyse market, competitor, and internal performance data to deliver commercial insights
- Partner with operations, risk, and compliance teams to align on deliverables and drive execution
- Prepare and maintain dashboards and reports (including KPIs and synergy tracking)
- Support post-deal integration and performance monitoring where applicable
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and external regulations
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in financial modelling, with a track record of building complex models
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel modelling
- Experience working with large datasets and data manipulation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
