The role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager – Residential and Corporate Services, you will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders and stakeholders, providing financial insights, modelling, reporting, and strategic guidance to help drive business performance and achieve organisational goals.
This role is offered as a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Partnering
* Build strong relationships with Executives, Operations Managers, and key stakeholders
* Provide financial insights and advice to support strategic decision-making
* Anticipate business needs and deliver value-added solutions
* Deliver accurate and timely financial and management reports
* Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations
* Oversee year-end processes, reconciliations, and statutory reporting
* Lead budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
* Develop financial models, pricing, and costing for new initiatives
* Review and provide recommendations on business cases
Compliance & Process Improvement
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government funding requirements
* Maintain strong financial controls and system integrity
* Identify and implement process and system improvements
Business Engagement
* Partner across the organisation to enhance financial literacy and performance
* Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing finance function
About You
You are a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys influencing outcomes.
* Degree in Commerce or Accounting
* CA or CPA qualification (or working towards)
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and reporting experience
* Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise
* Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Current driver's licence and National Police Check
* Experience in the not-for-profit sector
* Experience in continuous improvement
