Your role at St John of God Social Outreach
These roles will cover week and weekend nights working off a 6 week roster.
The purpose of this position is to provide a high standard of care to the residents of the St John of God Horizon House by empowering the young people to move to a position of autonomy and self-fulfilment by assisting them to achieve their goals. You will also encourage and facilitate the involvement of the residents in education, training and personal development programs.
The Position- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, placing their interests and well-being at the forefront of all interactions.- Provide safe and stable long term accommodation to a young people who are at risk of being homelessness, creating an environment that promotes growth and development- Offer outreach, strengths based and practical support to meet the continuum of care arrangements for young people with complex needs.- Assist young people in realising their aspirations and potential, through participating in education, training, and employment services.- Assist in case management and planning for young people- Support young people in developing independent living skills
You will have an understanding of the special needs of adolescents and trauma-informed care, together with recent experience working with at-risk young people, extensive experience in an area related to youth work and knowledge of the Privacy Legislation and Occupational, Health & Safety Act Regulations.
Successful applicants will hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar, State's Drivers Licence, First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Card.

We can offer you- Salary: $74,031 to $79,388 plus 11.5% Superannuation- X2 Permanent part-time, working 39 or 48 hours per fortnight at Dianella location- Casual positions to cover Dianella & West Leederville locations- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
