This position is ideal for someone who possesses some prior experience in accounting and tax and is eager to enhance their expertise in a specialised field.In this role, you will be responsible for various compliance tasks including the preparation and completion of financial statements and income tax returns for SMSFs, as well as the construction and maintenance of logical and accurate working papers. You will have the opportunity to develop your client relationship and advisory skills by engaging with clients to address inquiries and provide guidance and updates on SMSF-related matters.As an Intermediate SMSF Accountant, you’ll be responsible for:Preparing and completing income tax returns for SMSFs.Preparing monthly and quarterly compliance obligations e.g. Business Activity Statements.Preparing fund financial statements.Constructing and maintaining logical and accurate working papers.Preparing reconciliations.Liaising with clients to answer queries, provide advice and updates on SMSF matters.As our new team member, you will have:Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree.Actively completing or willing to complete the Chartered Accountant (CA) Program, Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) Program or equivalent professional certification.12 months’ experience in professional services with an emphasis on accounting and taxation.Prior exposure and understanding of SMSFs will be advantageous.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Initiative and a can-do attitude.A strong willingness to learn.If this sounds like you, and you’re keen to join a team where you are valued and your career is a priority, reach out for more information (Position Description) or apply now.What we offerAt Moore Australia (VIC), we prioritise your success and wellbeing, offering a range of benefits designed to enhance both your professional and personal life.
