Mechanical Maintenance Technician Role Overview
The role involves performing planned and scheduled mechanical maintenance activities on a wide range of fixed plant and equipment in alignment with the site's maintenance and production schedules. This includes identifying faults and performing breakdown repairs to minimize downtime, inspecting and testing machinery and equipment, working with system diagnostics and fault finding, and undertaking general plant and building maintenance work.
This hands-on technical role will provide mechanical expertise to support optimisation of plant reliability, improvements related to employee safety, and site continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background as a Maintenance Fitter, Australian recognised mechanical trade certificate, ability to interpret mechanical drawings, knowledge of food processing equipment, experience in servicing and overhauling pumping systems, pneumatic and hydraulics experience, TIG and Stick welding experience, proficiency in CMMS packages, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
