About Computer Alliance: Computer Alliance is a Queensland-owned and operated company, seeking the service of a proactive HR Officer to join our team in Mount Gravatt, Brisbane.
We are an industry leader in IT Retail and Business Solutions, with a reputation based on excellence in sales and after sales service.
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Officer on a full-time or part-time basis, reporting to the Human Resources Manager. You will be responsible for working closely with Department Heads to drive and foster a positive work environment within our three locations - Mount Gravatt, Salisbury & Mansfield.
Key responsibilities include:
Generating employment contracts and induction packs.
Coordinating recruitment and inductions to meet staffing needs as required.
Conduct initial screening for interviews. Conduct telephone reference checks, police checks and place job advertisements.
Accurately administrating and managing personnel documentation and employee files; and prepare reports.
Providing operational support across a range of HR functions and processes and contributing to team initiatives.
Assist the Department Heads with employee performance management and annual reviews.
Drive culture & engagement initiatives and surveys.
Maintain up-to-date files of position descriptions for all positions.
Assist WPHS Committee to ensure a safe, compliant workplace.
Conduct Induction and Compliance Training.
Develop, update, maintain and follow up on training requirements within our Learning Management System.
Respond to employee requests and grievances.
To be successful in this role:
Tertiary qualification in HR or related field is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
An approachable personality with strong attention to detail.
Proven administrative, organisational and time management skills.
The adaptability to build strong internal and external working relationships.
Previous experience delivering the HR function is mandatory. Within a retail or IT environment is desirable, however not essential.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
