Across Australia and New Zealand, we operate two major business units, Sugar & Renewables and Sweeteners, employing 2,400+ people during peak/seasonal operations with corporate offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Townsville and Auckland. As Australia's largest raw sugar manufacturer and a top 10 global producer, Wilmar Sugar & Renewables runs eight sugar mills across North Queensland. We are also one of the nation's largest generators of renewable electricity from biomass, a major producer of bioethanol, the largest sugarcane grower, and a key supplier of sustainable fertiliser and stockfeed.

About the Role: As a Civil Planner & Scheduler at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will play a key role in supporting the effective operation of our Cane Supply & Transport (CS&T) function. Working closely with Cane Rail Superintendents, Work Execution Officers, and Engineering Planners, you will help ensure that maintenance and project activities are effectively planned, scheduled, and executed across the network. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance planning and optimising schedules to support safe and efficient operations. You will also manage the scheduling and allocation of equipment and resources for a range of maintenance activities, helping teams deliver work efficiently while maintaining high operational standards. This position offers flexibility in location and can be based at one of our milling sites. Potential locations include Ingham, a welcoming town known for its strong Italian heritage and nearby wetlands; the Burdekin Region, recognised for its rich agricultural landscape and close-knit community; or Sarina, situated in the picturesque Whitsunday region with easy access to stunning beaches and the Great Barrier Reef. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic operation while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of regional Queensland.

Role Responsibilities:

* Plan and schedule maintenance activities with CS&T Civil Execution teams and key stakeholders.
* Maintain clear communication to support efficient planning, execution, and reporting of work.
* Assist with scheduling for capital works, plant commissioning, and improvement projects.
* Coordinate with engineering and inventory teams to maintain accurate equipment and materials records.
* Monitor KPIs and support initiatives that improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.

About you: We are looking for someone who brings:

* Proven experience using SAP PM for maintenance planning and execution.
* Strong understanding of cane railway operations, maintenance, and execution.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Experience in multi-discipline maintenance within fixed plant, mining, or similar operations.
* A trade qualification or sugar industry experience (highly regarded).

Why work for Wilmar We want people who take pride in their work, enjoy building connections, and value opportunities to grow their career in a dynamic, future-focused organisation.
