We're looking for a friendly, patient, and motivated Support Worker to assist a young adult participant living on a peaceful farm property. This is more than just a job it's an opportunity to build a meaningful connection while supporting someone to reach their goals and grow in confidence and independence.
**About the Participant**:
- Has a genuine love for video games and gaming culture.
- Lives on a hobby farm and helps out with the animals.
- Is working toward building everyday skills, becoming more independent, and finding employment.
- Needs support to build confidence in the community and assistance with simple meal preparation.
- Prefers shorter shifts to start while building trust and comfort with new people.
**Support required**:
- Encouragement and coaching for skill-building and independent living.
- Support with community access and social engagement.
- Assistance with preparing simple meals.
- Engagement through shared interests - especially gaming and animals
- Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Individual support or Mental Health
- Minimum of 1 year experience supporting neurodivergent participants
- NDIS clearances
- Reliable and fully insured vehicle
- A genuine interest in gaming you don't need to be a pro, but an understanding and enthusiasm is important.
- Comfortable around animals and in a farm environment.
- Patient, reliable, and consistent someone who understands the importance of building trust over time.
- Passionate about supporting people to reach their goals.
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $35.15 - $95.10 per hour
Expected hours: 3 - 10 per week
