**WHY YOU WANT THIS ROLE**
Working for a highly regarded financial institution, you will play an integral role in the business by mixing your advisory and leadership skills to continue fostering the growth of what already is, a highly driven, high-performing team. A key part of your role is to encourage and empower team leaders and whilst you will initially need to build trust and rapport, when you hit your straps, you will be given the independence that a true HR professional would desire.
The workplace structure is flat, the Founder is still actively involved and the tenure of those around them is excellent.
**WHAT ARE YOU IN FOR?**
As already alluded to, you will work closely with the leadership team to assist them in recognising when someone within their team might need further training and support. You will guide them on how to be more aware of what their team are feeling and what they need from the business.
Traditionally, this is not a formal environment, however, it does not need to be like this, and in fact, you will be encouraged to formalise processes. In most instances, the means are already there, they just need to be better articulated.
You personally, will manage a team of ten, including Learning & Development, Recruitment, Payroll and Advisors. You will also be responsible for:
- Strategy and leadership including developing and executing the "people" strategy
- Organisational development and culture building to maximise employee engagement
- Risk and compliance from a HR perspective
- Remuneration and reward
- Talent management and people development
**THE NITTY GRITTY**
This role won't suit a person who is rigid in their approach to HR. You need to be able to find the balance between commercial outcomes and doing the right thing in a human resources capacity - it's a knife-edge. You will be a passionate, proactive person who is happy to get down into the finer details of what makes a high-performing team whilst also being able to separate yourself and empower the divisions of the business to run smoothly.
