We have a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects in the Pacific and are currently working on projects in the Solomon Islands, Kiribati and Fiji which support infrastructure investment and can contribute positive changes to local communities in these areas. This is your chance to contribute to meaningful projects in the Pacific while working with a supportive and innovative team. An interest or experience in international development projects would be a welcome bonus. Experience working to relevant NSW State and Commonwealth Government, World Bank and/ or Asian Development Bank frameworks is highly desirable.

If this is something you're passionate about, we’re looking for a Social and Environmental Consultant to join our vibrant NSW Environment team.

**The Opportunity**

Deliver work as part of the current and future environment and social pipeline. This includes supporting a number of critical international development, energy, water, maritime and transport infrastructure projects.

International development projects (particularly in the Pacific) to service our current pipeline of work. The role will involve opportunities to travel to the Pacific to complete site missions and undertake community and stakeholder engagement and undertake environmental and social assessments.
Support the NSW Environment team to carry out environmental assessments, strategic assessments, technical coordination, design development, project management, stakeholder and community consultation, and business development.

**Is this role right for you?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in science or workplace or engineering or planning or similar area;
- Relevant industry experience (minimum 3-5 years) in local or international environment impact assessment, project management, stakeholder and community engagement and business development within a consulting business environment;
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines - and Arup’s related procedures including OH&S.;
