About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves assembling metal and fabricated components, sub-assemblies, and equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, values safety, and enjoys working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly
* Assemble fabricated metal components in line with technical drawings and SOPs
* Perform mechanical fitting, bolting, alignment and welding preparation
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders
* Maintain accurate production records
Machine/Equipment Operation
* Operate production machinery including overhead cranes and lifting equipment safely and efficiently
* Set up machines and perform changeovers as required
* Troubleshoot basic machinery issues and escalate where required
Safety & Quality
* Complete equipment pre-start checks
* Follow all WHS procedures and company policies
* Complete quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
About You
* Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Experience operating hand/power/ pneumatic tools and machinery
* Strong attention to detail
* A solid understanding of workplace health & safety practices
* Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
* Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
* Willingness to undergo and successfully pass a pre-employment medical assessment (including functional capacity assessment) and Drug and alcohol screening
