At Mathiou Services, we're on the lookout for a Junior Project Engineer to support the delivery of building projects by assisting with planning, coordination, cost control, and site activities. including:
Project Support
* Assist in planning and scheduling building and maintenance projects
* Support the preparation of work programs, scopes, and timelines
* Track project progress and report issues or delays to the National Operations Manager
* Assist with quality control inspections and defect rectification
Site & Operational Support
* Attend site meetings and assist with site coordination
* Support site supervisors and trades with technical and documentation needs
* Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with WHS requirements
* Assist with materials ordering and delivery coordination
Cost & Administration
* Assist with cost tracking, budgets, and variations
* Prepare and maintain project documentation
* Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
* Assist with invoice checks and progress claims
Client & Stakeholder Interaction
* Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers under supervision
* Assist in responding to client queries and maintenance requests
* Support handover documentation and project close-out

What You'll Need:
Essential
* Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or working towards)
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Basic understanding of construction processes
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in Excel, Word
* Valid driver's licence
Desirable
* Previous experience in construction or maintenance projects
* Familiarity with drawings, specifications, and BOQs
* Experience with project management or estimating software
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Basic understanding of construction processes
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in Excel, Word
* Valid driver's licence
