A skilled Social Worker Level 4 will be part of a multidisciplinary team working on the Sustaining NSW Families program, providing structured health home visiting services for children and families from pregnancy to 2 years of age.
Key responsibilities include:
* Enhancing parenting capacity and promoting healthy family functioning through specialist social work and counseling interventions.
* Conducting complex psychosocial assessments and counseling to address the needs of vulnerable families in stressful situations.
* Collaborating with other health teams, government agencies, and NGO organizations to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Social Work from an accredited course, enabling membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Extensive experience in working with families with complex clinical presentations, including perinatal mental health, child protection, domestic violence, and substance misuse.
* Advanced therapeutic skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential.
